Great Western Hospital’s Private Patient Unit Chooses Compucare 7
18th April 2011
Streets Heaver, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of patient management solutions to NHS private patient units, independent hospitals and clinics, has today announced a new contract to provide its Compucare solution to The Shalbourne Suite, Private Patient Unit (PPU) at Swindon’s Great Western Hospital.
Over the last decade, Streets Heaver has become the major supplier to NHS PPUs, with over 24 NHS Trusts using its respected Compucare solution, which provides clinical and administrative staff with patient, financial and clinical, management information
Compucare is currently being deployed throughout the PPU and will enable staff at The Shalbourne Suite to have a direct link to the Trust’s PAS and other clinical systems; allowing any pertinent patient information already stored in these systems to be pulled across, saving time and repetition of administrative duties.
The solution will also simplify the collection of chargeable data and provide access to key performance indicators, as well as a complete history of all patient activity. Compucare further simplifies the billing process by enabling the user to setup billing rules for the normally complicated insurance company contract prices, facilitating accurate invoicing.
An intuitive online portal for PPU staff and consultants to remotely access the system for appointment information, patient details and results, also forms part of the solution.
“We are confident that Compucare will meet all of our requirements and look forward to using the system.” – Cecilia van Zyl, Private Patient Manager, The Shalbourne Suite
“We are delighted that we have been selected to provide Compucare throughout the PPU, and look forward to proving the administrative and clinical efficiencies that it will drive within their organisation.” – Paul Heaver, Managing Director, Streets Heaver Healthcare Computing
