Streets Heaver Celebrates 25 Years in Healthcare Computing

25 Year Anniversary

4th October 2011

This year marks Streets Heaver’s 25th anniversary, and the company is excited to announce that Silver Anniversary events will take place at both EHI Live and at their annual user group meetings in February 2012, as the company celebrates past achievements and looks forward to future successes.

Streets Heaver is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of innovative patient administration and management solutions to the healthcare industry.  Streets Heaver’s solutions are used in independent hospitals and clinics, as well as a wide range of NHS trust departments, including private patient units, therapy departments and treatment centres.  With an extensive number of installations in the UK, their healthcare systems can also be found in Europe and Africa, indicative of the company’s approach to new markets and the breadth of their software support.

Streets Heaver has been developing systems for independent hospitals since 1986, and in 1988, launched the first version of Compucare.  The solution is now used widely across the UK and abroad, meeting the clinical, technical and administrative needs of independent and NHS healthcare settings.  In 1985, Streets Heaver’s Clinical Manager therapy management system entered into the NHS clinical market, and web-based scheduling systems were introduced in 2008.

Latest developments include the integration of Digital Pen Technology into Streets Heaver’s solutions, which are designed to reduce the amount of time clinicians spend on administrative tasks; and Outpatient Self Check-In screen functionality to improve the efficiency of outpatient departments.

In addition, 2009 saw the release of Compucare Financials, a hospital specific full accounting system, which sees tight integration with Compucare to provide important financial information under the unified ledger concept in real-time.

One of the first customers who implemented Streets Heaver’s Compucare solution was the leading London private hospital “King Edward VII Sister Agnes”, whose patron is the Queen.  The hospital implemented the first version of Compucare in 1992 and is a user of the latest evolution of the solution to this day.

More recently Streets Heaver has been announced as the preferred supplier of patient administration and billing systems to both Bupa’s Cromwell Hospital in London, whom it has worked with since 1997, and to Great Western Hospital’s private patient unit, “The Shalbourne Suite”.

At the core of Streets Heaver’s values is the high quality of service that it endeavours to provide to its customers.  Their dedicated Support Team, which includes members with over 20 years service, ensures that effective resolutions to customer challenges are provided in a timely manner, enhancing the productivity of their user base.

Paul Heaver, Managing Director of Streets Heaver says: “This anniversary marks 25 years of dedication and excellence within the healthcare IT industry.  We are delighted to have continued to adapt to the demands of our customers and the healthcare industry over the years and to continue to provide excellent solutions and outstanding customer service.”
