Digital Pen Technology
Streets Heaver have partnered with Ubisys to provide Digital Pen technology to help clinicians reach efficiency targets while reducing time spent on paperwork and administration.
The technology can be implemented as a stand-alone system or integrated into Streets Heaver’s Clinical Manager and Compucare solutions.
Improving the Patient Experience
Demands on clinicians in today’s healthcare environment are many. Updating records can take up time better used to treat patients, whilst typing up notes during appointments can shift focus away from the patient.
Simple to use and easy to learn, the Digital Pen allows you to write up notes on standard forms and retain the written copy, whilst it automatically converts the written data into digital text. The digital text is then submitted to the patient record by docking the pen into a cradle connected to a local PC, or remotely, using Bluetooth technology in conjunction with a mobile telephone. Data validation checks and correction facilities are carried out prior to transmission to avoid error.

Requiring minimal training to achieve quick and impressive results, the technology is proven to increase productivity by 35%* and radically reduces the time spent on administration.
The solution supports both handwriting and drawings, which can be maintained in their original format, all the while protecting patient confidentially.

Digital Pen technology can be adapted to suit your needs and provides the following options:
- Forms can be customised to your needs, quickly and inexpensively
- Forms can be generated from your laser printer as and when required, using software provided
The full solution can be provided from Streets Heaver’s N3 hosted data centre. Current mobile phones supported include: Blackberry, those supporting Android operating system and most Nokia telephones.
