Rubbish Ramblers: Streets Heaver Take On 18 Mile Charity Litter Pick

By Holly Johnson, Marketing Executive

This September, Streets Heaver employees will be taking on a huge Litter Picking Challenge in aid of the Lincoln Community Larder.

The Lincoln Community Larder is a local charity that aims to relieve poverty in Lincoln and the surrounding areas. They were voted as Streets Heaver’s Charity of the Year for 2021. The charity is extremely important to the local community, providing nutritious food and other basic amenities to those in need – poverty is on the rise across the UK and charities need support more than ever in light of the recent pandemic.

Amongst a whole host of other fundraising activities already this year, the team are excited to be braving their toughest one yet. They will be walking a tiring 18 miles, from Woodhall Spa to Lincoln, whilst collecting and carrying bags of litter along the route. Not only are staff raising vital funds for the Lincoln Larder, but they are making a conscious effort to make the streets cleaner.
