Reflecting on a Remarkable Year at Streets Heaver in 2023

By Holly Johnson, Marketing Executive

As we close the chapter on 2023, Streets Heaver look back at the events and accomplishments that shaped the past 12 months.

2023 has been a year of challenges, successes, and unwavering dedication from the Streets Heaver team throughout. Last year, we gained more wonderful new employees as the business continues to expand. We’ve also made significant strides in our commitment to social responsibility and enhanced our product even further to remain at the forefront of the health tech industry.

Client Success in 2023

Throughout 2023, Streets Heaver continued to focus on supporting both new and existing clients with first-rate customer care throughout. The team received excellent customer feedback in the NPS scores at the start of the year, garnering a score of +80 which is well above the industry average.

We also welcomed several new clients on board, including OCL Vision and Hamptons Hospital, and continued to progress with Compucare 7 upgrades. With these achievements plus new interfaces, integrations, and more, we celebrated over 58 completed projects across the year!

Crucial Industry Conversations

We continued to participate in lots of industry events for both private hospitals and NHS PPUs, including the Private Healthcare Summit in May, the LaingBuisson Private Acute Conference in October, and the SBK NHS Private Patient Service Roadmap in December.

These events provide valuable opportunities to catch up with new and existing contacts and allow the team to participate in crucial conversations within the sector. Hoping to also share our own knowledge, our Managing Director, Benedict Heaver, debuted on a session panel of Laingbuisson’s Private Acute Conference to discuss the ‘modal shift in Private Healthcare’.

We also welcomed the return of our in-person event, Compucare LIVE 2023. This client-focused conference brought together nearly 60 Compucare clients for a day of networking and delving into new functionality at the stylish Prospero House in London. The day was a huge success and we look forward to continuing it as an annual occurrence.

Innovative Solutions Heading to The Cloud

2023 saw Streets Heaver successfully begin transitioning our entire system to the cloud using Microsoft Azure. This move not only enhances the efficiency of our solution but significantly reduces our carbon footprint. We also introduced more forward-thinking software products, including the Compucare Patient Portal, Compucare Report Generator, and powerful new features such as Compucare Automated Rules.

Since its release, the Patient Portal has been adopted by several clients and has shown huge efficiency-saving benefits for hospitals. According to client data, our Patient Portal has already shown to drastically reduce missed appointments to just 1.8%, significantly lower than the national average. Helping the population get seen quicker, and more effectively.

Alongside the major product releases, we have seen continual development which has been delivered to clients in quarterly software release webinars available to watch on the Streets Heaver YouTube Channel.

Using Business as a Force For Good

Beyond business, we embraced our role as a socially responsible entity. In August, the release of our Company Brand video which showcased the people behind our product and what we stand for resonated with a broad audience, proving very popular with now almost 500 views.

Our commitment to the community was evident in successful fundraising efforts, including a charity litter pick for our 2023 charity of the year, Campaign Against Living Miserably (C.A.L.M.). The team smashed their fundraising target and raised £2000 and we look forward to continuing efforts for our new charity for this year, Lincoln City Foundation.

A significant journey unfolded throughout the year as we pursued B-Corp certification. This commitment reached fruition in late December when Streets Heaver proudly achieved B-Corp status. The certification is a rigorous evaluation that ensures we meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The B Corp status underscores our holistic approach to business, aligning values with actions to contribute meaningfully to society and the environment.

Recognition and Acknowledgments

The company was also included in the TECH200 list as one of the fastest-growing technology firms in the public sector, demonstrating our commitment to supporting the NHS Private Patient Units.

Additionally, we were named national finalists for ‘Tech Provider of the Year’ at the Health Investor Awards 2023 in October and ‘Tech Company of the Year’ at the Lincolnshire Excellence Awards 2023 in November. A testament to our ongoing success and recognition within the industry.

Embracing the Future

Looking ahead, we’re excited to develop our clinical features and functionality further. We can also expect further advancements in Compucare Ward, and the ongoing migration of the Compucare system to the cloud with Azure.

As we acknowledge the achievements of 2023, Streets Heaver remains committed to innovation, growth, and making a meaningful impact in healthcare. We have ambitious sustainability goals to continue to use business as a force for good. These include achieving carbon neutrality, further reducing waste generation, and expanding our community engagement initiatives.
