Compucare LIVE 2025: A Day of Innovation and Connection
On Friday 5th December, we welcomed clients to 8 Fenchurch Place, London for our annual Compucare LIVE event. With a record sign-up of over 120 attendees, this year’s event was our most successful yet.
The day was packed with insightful sessions exploring what’s next for the Compucare suite. Highlights included updates on Compucare Ward, Clinician Portal, Patient Portal, and the official unveiling of NIVA AI (Our new AI Healthcare Assistant), alongside thought-provoking presentations from our guest speakers.
The Big Reveal: NIVA

One of the most exciting moments of the day was the official unveiling of NIVA, our next-generation AI-powered assistant designed to revolutionise healthcare workflows.
Andy Robinson, our Head of Technology, introduced NIVA with an engaging demo that showcased its capabilities and future roadmap. The enthusiasm in the room was palpable, with one attendee commenting:

What is NIVA?
NIVA is more than just an AI tool, it’s a logic layer that brings intelligence and automation to the Compucare platform. Key features include:
- Daily Digest: A quick, clear summary for clinicians of their working day.
- Natural Language Summaries: Converts complex clinical notes into patient-friendly language.
- Rewrites: Simplifies or extends clinical documentation or shorthand notes to the desired length and tone.
- Patient Portal Chatbot: Answering basic questions and guiding patients into the correct appointment slots and clinician diaries.
- Automated Rules & Agents: Handles repetitive admin tasks like appointment confirmations, reminders, and debt chasing.

OneAdvanced talk on Electronic transfer and care
We were delighted to welcome experts from Doctify and OneAdvanced, who shared how Compucare alongside their respective solutions, is helping shape the future of healthcare technology
- Doctify showcased their latest Consultant bio improvements, demonstrating how intelligent automation and AI video content is transforming patient engagement. Unveiling their integration
with Compucare online bookings to create a more efficient and personalised booking experience for patients, both via the Doctify website and for 3 major private health insurers. - OneAdvanced delivered an insightful session on their secure solution “Docman Connect” for transferring discharge summaries and documentation back to GP and referrer mailboxes digitally. They showed how Compucare supports this process with tracking and deliverability updates, ensuring smooth communication between healthcare providers.
Azure Updates: Powering Performance and Sustainability
A major focus of the event was our migration to Microsoft Azure Cloud Hosting, which has transformed the way Compucare operates:
- Resilience & High Availability: Hosting across Azure South and West data centre regions provides failover capability far beyond on-premise solutions.
- Performance Boost: Clients report noticeably faster scheduling, forms, and results processing.
- Carbon Reduction: Consolidating hosting into a single cloud environment reduces CO₂ emissions by utilising Microsoft Azure Data Centres that are both powered by fully renewable energy and committed to reaching Carbon Negative status by 2030.

Compucare PAS/EPR: Enterprise Hospital Management System
This session focused on the new enhancements and features delivered for Compucare over the last 12 months. Key updates were:
- New Automated Rules: To support recall and post-op waiting lists, additional filters for booking-related automations and deposit payment/credit control chasing.
- Healthcode Integration: Showcasing Compucare’s new link with Healthcode’s find member and authorisation code look-up services.
- Billing and Invoicing: Improvements to the generation of patient quotes and to the automation of NHS Radiology Billing.
Compucare Clinician: Empowering Clinical Teams
The launch of Compucare Clinician for digital consultation recording was another standout moment. Designed for ease of use and efficiency during clinic, it includes:
- Journal Digitisation: Moving away from paper-based patient files
- Digital Forms: Clinical noting and assessment form capture.
- NIVA Integration: AI-powered summaries and rewrites to simplify clinical documentation.
- Roadmap: Future phases will introduce advanced clinician views for order requesting and ePrescribing.
Compucare Ward: Digital Transformation at the Bedside
Our Ward solution is built for tablets and optimised for clinical safety. Key features include:
- NEWS2 & Observations: Digitised for accuracy and speed.
- Digital Inpatient Booklet: Capturing Clinical forms and assessments at the bedside.
- Roadmap: Automating patient pathways and dynamically triggering forms based on recorded data.
Patient Portal: Enhancing Patient Experience
The Patient Portal continues to evolve with features that streamline the booking process:
- Online Bookings & Forms: Including priority slots and intelligent slot matching.
- Registered Card Component: For secure card detail capture and payments.
- Customisable Forms: Mandatory fields and improved validation for smoother patient journeys.

Clinical Safety: Trusted and Compliant
Safety remains at the heart of everything we do. Our Clinical Safety Officer, explained how we comply with DCB0129 and DCB0160 standards, ensuring:
- Risk identification and mitigation at every stage.
- Hazard workshops and independent hazard logs for new features.
- Clinical Safety Case Reports for major changes, including NIVA AI.
