Great Western Hospital’s Private Patient Unit Chooses Compucare 7
We are pleased to announce that we have been chosen to provide our successful Compucare patient management system to The Shalbourne Suite, Private Patient Unit (PPU) at Swindon’s Great Western Hospital.
The solution is currently being deployed throughout the PPU and will enable staff at The Shalbourne Suite to have a direct link to the Trust’s PAS and other clinical systems; allowing any pertinent patient information already stored in these systems to be pulled across, saving time and repetition of administrative duties.
The solution will also simplify the collection of chargeable data and provide access to key performance indicators, as well as a complete history of all patient activity. Compucare will further simplify the billing process by enabling the PPU staff to set up billing rules for the normally complicated insurance company contract prices, facilitating accurate invoicing.
Outpatient Self Check-In Screen Unveiled
12th April 2011
Last week at HC2011, Streets Heaver were proud to unveil the latest evolution of the Outpatient Self Check-In Module, which now includes multi-language support and a new graphical user interface.
This solution aims to make life easier for patients, by enabling any patient with an outpatient appointment to self register their arrival via an easy to use and accessible touch screen kiosk, rather than at the traditional reception desk.
Once a patient has registered their arrival, the reception, nursing and consulting staff are all notified and the patient is directed to the correct waiting area.
We envisage that the solution will lessen queues at the reception desk, freeing up reception staff for other duties; ultimately improving the efficiency of the outpatient department.
This latest development has been designed to work with any touch screen hardware, and is compatible with both our Compucare 7 and Clinical Manager 7 products.
Further to this, the new graphical user interface design tool allows each step/screen of the self check-in process to be completely customised; enabling you to incorporate your organisation’s colours and logos, as well as information specific to the hospital.

Streets Heaver and Clinical Solutions sign partnership deal
A new partnership announced today between Streets Heaver and Clinical Solutions will enable Street’s Heaver’s healthcare systems to be implemented on a cloud computing basis, enhancing its solutions to customers.
Streets Heaver is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of administrative and clinical systems for independent hospitals, clinics and NHS private patient units and a major supplier to the NHS of therapy management systems. Clinical Solutions is the leading provider of health-based customer relationship management and clinical content solutions. The new partnership will provide multiple benefits for Streets Heaver’s customers and pave the way for joint projects with Clinical Solutions in the future.
Clinical Solutions’ N3 data centre is built from a security and safety standpoint with the healthcare market in mind and is designed to manage patient identifiable data. More than 60 million patient encounters have already been handled through the data centre, which operates on a 24/365 basis.
This joint approach will reduce the capital outlay required for Streets Heaver’s customers, providing the security and safety standards needed and enable growth and expansion in a more timely and cost effective manner.
The partnership will assist private providers who require Choose and Book connectivity, as it removes the need for local installation of hardware or software. Customers can tackle information governance requirements more easily, as many tasks are automatically performed in the data centre, leaving NHS departments and private patient units to focus on their own internal systems.
Paul Heaver, Managing Director of Streets Heaver says: “We are investing heavily in the future of healthcare technology and it is vital for us to provide the best solutions for customers”.
Shaun Hopgood, Executive Vice President UK & Ireland, of Clinical Solutions says: “With the advancement of cloud computing technology and Clinical Solutions’ data centre capabilities, this partnership will enable a variety of healthcare customers to take advantage of next generation virtualised solutions. We are privileged to continue to provide technology to underpin high profile, large scale healthcare services.”
Streets Heaver and Ubisys sign partnership deal
19 August 2010
Streets Heaver, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of administrative and clinical systems for independent hospitals, clinics and NHS private patient units, has today announced a partnership with the digital pen technology experts, Ubisys. Digital pen and paper functionality will be integrated into Streets Heaver’s Clinical Manager and Compucare systems, helping clinicians to reach efficiency targets while reducing the time they spend on paperwork and administration. Compucare is Streets Heaver’s patient administration and hospital information system, providing clinicians with patient, mangement, financial and clinical support, while Clinical Manager is its therapy management system.
The digital pen and paper technology from Ubisys enables clinicians to write reports or assessments on specially formatted paper, which can be pre-populated with key data. The stored pen strokes are then converted into electronic format, and the pens can be docked or connected to mobile phones to securely submit information to the system, enabling the appropriate patient record to be updated. The technology is already delivering substantial cost savings for other NHS users.
Paul Heaver, Managing Director of Streets Heaver says: “We see this new partnership as a way of delivering benefits to our customers, allowing them to cut costs, reduce paperwork and minimise the amount of time spent in front of the computer.” Tarek Ghouri, Managing Director of Ubisys says: “By delivering a truly integrated end to end solution for the Healthcare market, Streets Heaver are demonstrating their leadership and innovation in their specialist market.
