A new contract in Plymouth

Streets Heaver, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of administrative and clinical systems for NHS therapy services, NHS private patient units, independent hospitals and clinics, today announced a new contract to provide its Compucare Choose and Book solution to Express Diagnostics in Plymouth. Express Diagnostics has been supplying cardiology and audiology services to its local NHS Primary Care Trusts for a number of years, receiving GP referrals via Sentinel, the Plymouth-based Clinical Commissioning Group. Compucare will be installed at the clinic to provide a directly bookable solution via Sentinel and Choose and Book.

“We are looking forward to reaping the benefits of our new system and helping to enhance the care of patients”
Kerri Mellor, Senior Business Development Associate at Express Diagnostics

Express Diagnostics chose to use Streets Heaver’s Choose and Book Module as GP-referred patients wanting to choose the clinic could not immediately book an appointment when contacted by Sentinel. Express Diagnostics enjoys 99.5% positive feedback, boasts short waiting times and was keen to make the booking process easier for patients. When the Compucare solution is deployed next month, Sentinel will be able to make use of the new booking mechanism to create appointments immediately for patients who choose to be treated at Express Diagnostic’s clinic.

Kerri Mellor, Senior Business Development Associate at Express Diagnostics says “We met with Streets Heaver via the Choose and Book accredited sandpit route and were very impressed with their offering, particularly the bespoke elements. Using Compucare will help us to enable patients to make the same informed choices about where they receive care, but they will be able to book with us straight away rather than making an additional phone call. We are looking forward to reaping the benefits of our new system and helping to enhance the care of patients throughout the Plymouth, Devon and Cornwall area”.
